Native American Philosophy: An Excursion Into the Self
Native American Philosophy is one of the most under-covered areas in philosophy proper. I hope to add a bit of contrast here, and focus on how Native American Philosophy, their "concepts" of self, and how they may relate to Western concepts at large.

Aristotle, Plato, etc. etc. are also Western (indigrnous European) philosophy). Antiwhiteism strips.the.native European (aka White people).of.their.humanity. The term 'racist' is a vicious antiwhite slur. There are surely people who are anti-Native American, and that is evil. Antiwhiteism is also evil, and is pretty much the religion or philosphy of every Western nation today.

I don’t really see the analogy of zombies as “infiltrators” like unionized workers. For 1, zombies aren’t communicating & collaborating to eat the living, they just each individually have the same goal almost by instinct, they’re (usually) not intelligent or aware enough to collaborate. Most animals are smarter than zombies. Which is why I think the zombie apocalypse is often depicted as a virus, because the monsters themselves act like a virus, infect and then your job is done. And 2, in 99/100 zombie stories, no one is fooled that a zombie might be a person. “Infiltration” doesn’t really work if you’re very obviously not what you’re trying to infiltrate. I think a much closer example to the panic over communism is alien invaders replacing humans. Ultimately I think zombies represent the fear of dying, and then your body “living” on and you having no control over that. It’s a bad ending for most people. I think that’s much closer to what zombies represent.

Elon is more than just a self-promoting businessman, he is an internet cult leader, in an age of internet cult leaders. I'm glad people are seeing through his public image these days. What happened in Bolivia is evil, and like this video says it has happened time after time in Latin America. Still most people in the US have no idea what their country is doing to those poor people.

What is mystery to some, to others is common knowledge. Carl Jung investigated the Collective Unconscious and has contributed to our understanding of dependent origination of thought. However, had he knowledge of Mohism at that time he might have concluded that what we claim to be ‘Our’ consciousness is actually Gaia’s own awareness permeating all life, like water permeating all matter. Though the concept of Earth Gaia’s aliveness is alien to Westerners, it is common knowledge to Indigenous tribes of the Americas’. Indeed, long before we had well-protected, compartmentalized, brains of our own, our one-common mother (aka Earth) was covered with trees, which among other things, are a type of proto-neurons that communicate effortlessly among complementary analogues. To Western Scientists, a conscious Earth seems impossible because “it” has no eyes, no ears, no mouth, and no heart … but in fact Gaia has many eyes, many ears, many mouths, and one giant heart in the center. The Native Peoples of the Americas and other Continents have suffered great challenges throughout the eons and therefore have accumulated great wisdom as a result of the suffering. The estimated 350 million Native Americans that were massacred by the colonial invaders, had a long-standing and healthy relationship with the Creator and all Its magical creations. But they lacked (many still do to this day) an understanding of their (our) default genetic mind program called: Monkey Mind. The Hindu and Buddhist monks had investigated the ubiquitous question of “who are we?” long ago and have preserved texts from as far back as 5000 year on the subject. (Since Asia is a lush land with many primate and ape species habitats they made readily available subjects to observe and study by clear-minded monks seeking understanding). The Hindu/Buddhist monks thus elucidated the 3 Elements of Monkey Mind: 1) Limitless Greed-nothing is ever enough especially if pleasurable or rewarding to self identity, 2) Tireless Fear-we are fearful of many things we don’t know/understand but especially fearful of uncertainty, 3) Impassive Dominance-primates seek highest position in the tree canopy for food and protection so today people seek highest status, highest position, highest achievements, highest fane, highest suite in high-rise, etc. Through this insight of Monkey Mind, the Eastern Philosophies empower the practitioners to breakthrough the self-limiting primordial mind program and thus transforming suffering to happiness … to a profoundly deep level. The Native Americans philosophies, though insightful in their own right, missed this crucial understanding about themselves as spirits born into primate form. But it is never too late to learn new things if one cultivates a ‘beginners mind’.

The point about how class is dissolved into an ideology of everyone being an entrepreneur is very useful. You already have the tendency in countries like the US to call virtually everybody middle class, but then we get this supposed new freedom added into the mix, the idea of which is leveraged by the gig economy, girlboss MLMs, the framing of crypto, etc.

Really appreciated the preface that western/european philosophy has its place as well. It reminded me of when a friend of mine said "it's not that European history and philosophy don't have value it's just that theirs isnt the only with value. It's not that European history and philosophy need to be erased but they need to be put in their place alongside the rest of the world." This video is a nice contribution towards that effort.

Oh and Iroquois is pronounced Yuro-kwoy, but it's term that came from the French trying to pronounce a not so flattering name our neighbors called us. So don't fret over the misprounciation. The West created dualities, which seek to separate nature from us. Body from mind all is one the vaccum of space is one vaccum. We can not fix the world until we see all things related to one another. Something all mystics traditions see and I believe even a secular or pluralistic non duality is possible As I native myself we should be able to bridge the gaps between the western tradition and the native tradition.
